Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data this site collects, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to https://kamleshpaul.com and no other property.

Who runs this site
This website is a personal technical blog operated by Kamlesh Paul. There is no company behind it and no sales team. It exists to publish tutorials and notes about web development.
What this site collects
There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter signup, and no comment system on this site. That means you cannot submit personal information to me directly through this website — there is no form here that asks for your name, email address, or anything similar.
What is collected happens automatically, and falls into three groups:
1. Analytics
This site uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand which articles people find useful. Umami does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track people across websites. It records aggregate information such as:
- The page that was viewed
- The referring website, if any
- Approximate country, derived from IP address and then discarded
- Browser, operating system, and device type
This data is aggregated and cannot reasonably be used to identify you as an individual.
2. Performance monitoring
Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load in real browsers so I can find and fix slow pages. It collects timing measurements and coarse device information. It does not collect the contents of pages or personally identifying information.
3. Advertising
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Where ads are shown, the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
Third-party ad servers or ad networks may also use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons in the advertisements that appear on this site. They receive your IP address when this happens. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and to personalise the advertising content you see.
I do not control the cookies used by third-party advertisers. This site's privacy policy does not apply to, and I cannot control the activities of, those advertisers. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information, including instructions about how to opt out of certain practices.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies for tracking purposes. Your theme preference (light or dark) is handled in your own browser and is not transmitted anywhere. Any cookies you encounter on this site come from the advertising and embedded third-party services described above.
You can disable cookies entirely through your browser settings. Doing so will not break this website — all articles remain fully readable with cookies blocked.
GDPR and CCPA
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or California, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and the right to object to processing.
In practice, this site holds no personal data about you that I could retrieve or delete — I have no database of visitors, no email list, and no account records. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, requests must be directed to Google, since I do not have access to it. Google's policy on data collected by partner sites describes what it collects and how to control it.
Children's privacy
This site publishes technical material for software developers and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please get in touch and I will act on it.
Links to other sites
Articles here link out to documentation, GitHub repositories, and package pages. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's website, governed by their privacy policy, not this one. I have no control over the content or practices of those sites.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes — for example, adding a service that collects new categories of data — will be reflected here before that service goes live.
